Vision
A just and solidary society, based on the synthesis of the principles of sustainable development, innovative practices and the use of new technologies for the purpose of realizing civil rights and freedoms, achieving equal opportunities and continuous progress of the community in which we live.
Goals
The goals and vision of UZOR are best reflected through the slogan of the Association :
Striving for the common good – a prerequisite for sustainable development and a better living environment!
The main goals of the association based on an open partnership of civil society, the private sector, the professional public and local communities are:
- Contribution to the democratization of Montenegro, the rule of law and the development of civil society
- Strengthening and affirming participatory democracy – the participation of the public and civil society organizations in the process of decision-making and policies
- Encouraging transparency and responsibility of social and political subjects
- Supporting values, norms and patterns of behavior important for the sustainability of society
- Encouraging sustainable development of the local community by promoting cooperation within and between sectors
- Improving socially responsible business and public-private partnerships
- Creating and implementing policies through socially responsible programs and service development that contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of citizens, especially those at risk of social exclusion – persons with disabilities, members of the Roma and Egyptian population, LGBTIQ persons, women, children and young people
- Encouraging development, research and innovation programs
- Strengthening capacity through various forms of education – conferences , trainings, seminars, round tables, etc.
- Raising the awareness of the professional and lay public
- Improving the state of human and social resources and strengthening social inclusion through the areas of culture, green economy, sustainable architecture, environmental protection and sustainable tourism, namely:
- protection and improvement of culture as a fundamental value of social and economic development
- contributing to the affirmation of the green economy , sustainable architecture and environmental protection
- support for the development of sustainable tourism
Long-term goals:
- Promotion of the participation of local communities, especially vulnerable categories of society in the development of civil society and sustainable development
- Promotion and encouragement of mobility and personal development, and active engagement in the local community
- Promotion of the value of the so-called good economy, and the creation of socially responsible entrepreneurial initiatives
- Creating a platform for encouraging local creativity and networking in the areas of activity of UZOR
- Building partnership relations with other civil society organizations, local self-governments and the public sector for the purpose of creating a solidary society, based on the principles of responsible and sustainable development.
