Fake news and disinformation continue to spread at an unprecedented speed across social and traditional media. By educating citizens, we empower them to recognize false news and propaganda, while simultaneously increasing trust in the democratic system, which is crucial for building resilience against disinformation.
The general goal of the project is to contribute to Montenegro’s European path and expose foreign influence based on data-driven narratives. This will be achieved by implementing the following specific objectives: strengthening social resilience against foreign propaganda, raising awareness, and supporting constructive discussion on European integration and the importance of exposing Russian narratives and activities.
Accordingly, it is essential to strengthen social resilience against foreign influences by conducting a public opinion survey reflecting citizens’ perceptions and attitudes towards these issues, as well as educating and raising awareness among young people about media literacy with a focus on foreign influence. To enhance and promote constructive discussion on European integration and the importance of exposing Russian narratives and activities, UZOR will organize a round table with experts and decision-makers. Additionally, we will analyze the content disseminated through various communication channels and conduct a social media campaign.
