Online Submission of Information on Attacks Against Journalists Enabled

17/09/2024

The Association for Responsible and Sustainable Development (UZOR) and the Society of Professional Journalists of Montenegro (DPNCG) have created a dedicated website (www.komisija.me) to support the Commission for Monitoring Investigations into Attacks on Journalists. This platform is designed to make information on attacks against journalists and the work of the Commission more accessible to the public.

For progress in investigations, especially concerning the murder of Duško Jovanović, it is crucial that individuals with important information now have the opportunity to securely and anonymously share it with the Commission’s president and secretary via the website.

The site is dedicated to the transparent and thorough monitoring of all cases of violence, threats, and attacks against journalists and media professionals.

This digital resource provides a public platform where, in addition to details on attacks against media workers, users can find information about the actions taken by relevant authorities.

The site also includes biographies of the Commission members and their contact emails.

The website for the Commission for Monitoring Investigations into Attacks on Journalists is part of the project “Effective Prevention and Protection of Journalists in Montenegro,” jointly implemented by the Association for Responsible and Sustainable Development (UZOR) and the Society of Professional Journalists of Montenegro (DPNCG), in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation and funded by the European Union (EU) through the EU Delegation in Podgorica and the Ministry of Public Administration. The content of the website is the sole responsibility of the Commission and does not necessarily reflect the official positions of the supporting organizations or the European Union.
