Association for Responsible and Sustainable Development (UZOR) is organizing the Media Literacy School titled “How to Identify Foreign Influence in Media Content,” aimed at young people. This program is part of the “Strengthening Social Resilience in the Digital Era” project, in partnership with the Hanns Seidel Foundation. The school will be held on September 24-25, 2024, at the Maestral Hotel in Budva.
Misinformation continues to spread at unprecedented speed, especially on social media, often as a product of foreign influence from various interest groups. By educating citizens, we empower them to recognize fake news and propaganda, which is crucial for building resilience against media disinformation. Special focus will be placed on identifying foreign influence and strengthening social resilience to external propaganda, with an emphasis on Russian narratives. The school’s curriculum is outlined below.
UZOR will cover accommodation expenses on a full board basis at the hotel, as well as bus fare to Budva. Participants are expected to arrive by 9 a.m. on September 24.
Applications can be submitted via email to office@uzor.me, including basic information and a short motivation statement. The application deadline is September 12, 2024.
